Description
A cloned derivative of a transplantable rat osteogenic sarcoma. Cells retain many characteristics of the tumour including responsiveness to parathyroid hormone, cytosol receptors for the bone resorbing steroid hormone 1,25-OH)2D3 and prostaglandins. Similar to cell line UMR-106.

Quality Control
UMR-108 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
