A cloned derivative of a transplantable rat osteogenic sarcoma. The cells retain many of the characteristics of the tumour including responsiveness to parathyroid hormone (PTH) and prostaglandins.

UMR-106 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
