Derived from malignant cells of a pleural effusion of 37 year old caucasian male with diffuse histiocytic lymphoma. One of only a few human lines still expressing many of the monocytic like characteristics exhibited by cells of histiocytic origin.

Quality Control
U937 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
Shippment
U937 Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.

Store the cell lines in liquid nitrogen vapor (less than -130°C)
