Derived from a grade III adenocarcinoma of the colon of an 81 year old Caucasian female. The cells synthesise relatively large amounts of CEA (2,000ng/1,000,000 cells in 21 days).

Quality Control
SW 948 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
