Derived from a grade III adenocarcinoma of the colon in a 53 year old female. CEA is produced and electron microscopy reveals the presence of brush borders around colonies in vitro.

Quality Control
SW 1417 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
