Description
Spontaneously transformed cells from a female patient with neuroblastoma. The tumour was derived from a bone marrow metastascell line cell line is and is tumourigenic in nude mice. Used in the study of MIBG uptake in the diagnoscell line cell line is and treatment of neuroblastoma. MIBG cell line is a derivative of the antihypertensive agent guanethidine and is used as a radiopharmaceutical. SK-N-DZ is characterised by low saturable kinetics and predominant linear pattern of uptake of MIBG, with a poor ability to maintain high intracellular levels of the drug.
