Derived from the cornea of a normal rabbit. The line is suitable for primary isolation of rubella virus in addition to propagation and assay. The cells are not susceptible to poliovirus 2, coxsackie A9 and B5.

SIRC Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
