Shmac 1 cell line cell line is an immortalised human prostate cell line which was immortalised using human papillomavirus type E6 gene from PLXSN16E6 retroviral stock (Denise Galloway, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre Seattle).

Stemline Keratinocyte Medium II (Sigma S0196) + Stemline Keratinocyte Growth Supplement (Sigma S9945) + 2mM Glutamine + 2% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS). Addition of 2% serum was found to increase cell viability.
Quality Control
Shmac 1 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.

Shmac 1 Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.

Store the cell lines in liquid nitrogen vapor (less than -130°C)
