Description
RC-4B/C1 cell line is a clone of the parent RC-4B/C which was established from a 3 year-old CAI/FMaixF344/FMai(F1) male rat pituitary adenoma. Staining studies have shown the cell line contains many bi-hormonal cells with FHSß, LHß and prolactin. Electron microscopy shows the appearance of endogenous C-type rat retroviral particles.

Quality Control
RC-4B/C1 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
