Description
Rat Renal Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells (RRPTEpiC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from neonate day 2 CD® IGS rat kidney tissue. Rat Renal Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. RRPTEpiC are characterized by immunofluorescent method with antibodies to cytokeratin-18, -19 and vimentin. RPTEpiC are guaranteed to further culture under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics; however, RRPTEpiC are not recommended for long-term cultures due to limited expansion capacity and senescence after subculturing.

It is recommended to use Epithelial Cell Medium-animal for expanding RRPTEpiC in vitro.
Quality Control
Rat Renal Proximal Tubular Epithelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
