Description
Rat Lens Epithelial Cells (RLEpiC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from the CD® IGS rat lens. RLEpiC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. RLEpiC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to cytokeratin-18 and cytokeratin-19. RLEpiC are guaranteed to further culture in the conditions provided by Glow Biologics; however, RLEpiC are not recommended for long-term cultures due to limited expansion capacity and senescence after subculturing.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Epithelial Cell Medium-animal for the culturing of RLEpiC in vitro.
Quality Control
Rat Lens Epithelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
