Rat Cardiac Fibroblasts Cells from Glow Biologics are isolated from postnatal day 2 CD® IGS rat heart. RCF are cryopreserved at P0 and delivered frozen. RCF are characterized by fibroblast morphology. RCF are guaranteed to further expand for 5 population doublings under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Fibroblast Medium-2 for culturing RCF in vitro.

Rat Cardiac Fibroblasts Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi.
Shippment
Rat Cardiac Fibroblasts Cells are shipped using dry ice.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
