Description
Rat Astrocytes-hippocampal from Glow Biologics are isolated from postnatal day 2 CD® IGS rat hippocampus. RA-h are cryopreserved as primary cultures and delivered frozen. RA-h are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibody specific to GFAP. RA-h are negative for mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast, and fungi. RA-h are guaranteed to further expand for 5 population doublings under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Astrocyte Medium-animal for culturing RA-h in vitro.
Shippment
Frozen primary cells are shipped on dry ice.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen primary cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
