Established from peripheral lymphocytes of a patient with myeloblastic leukaemia at the Queensland Institute for Medical Research. It produces EBV and has been used in co-cultivation lymphocyte transformation studies. Non-uniform lymphoblast.

Quality Control
QIMR-WIL Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
