Derived from proximal tubule of a kidney taken from an adult female opossum. Cells retain proximal tubule function. Possesses the following receptors alpha 2 - adrenergic, insulin, serotonin, parathyroid hormone and atrial natriuretic factor.

Quality Control
OK Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
