Established from normal lung tissue of a 14 week old male foetus. The virus susceptibility of this line to human viruses is similar to WI-38. These cells are capable of approximately 20 further population doublings before the start of senescence.

Quality Control
MRC-5 pd25 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
