Description
The original plasma cell tumour was induced by intraperitoneal injections of mineral oil into highly inbred BALB/cJ mice. The line secretes IgG1, is hyperdiploid and produces a balanced synthesis of monomeric 4-chain gamma F/immunoglobulin.

MOPC 31C Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
