Granular fibroblasts. Derived from a human melanoma by Prof. C Grose (1978). The cells support growth of varicella-zoster virus (VZV) isolates at 36°C although viral growth is optimal at 32°C.

Quality Control
MEWO Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
Shippment
MEWO Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.

Store the cell lines in liquid nitrogen vapor (less than -130°C)
