Description
Derived from the bone marrow of a 55 year old male with chronic myelogenous leukaemia. All karyotypes show the Philadelphia chromosome. Platelet GP IIb/IIIa antigen is expressed on more than 92% of cells. Cytoplasmic expression of GP Ib antigen was not detected on the surface of cells but was present in the cytoplasm 20% of cells. BA-1 antigen is expressed in almost all cells. FVIII-related antigen was not detected on the surface cells but was present in cytoplasm.

Quality Control
MEG-01 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
