Description
This MCF7 subline was established by stepwise reductions in the serum concentration from 5% foetal calf serum to 0.5 % in growth medium consisting of DMEM Ham's F-12 medium (11) supplemented with 2mM glutamine and insulin (6ng/ml). MCF7/S0.5 expresses both oestrogen receptor and progesterone receptors.

Quality Control
MCF7/S0.5 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
