Description
Derived in 1990 by transfecting Chinese Hamster ovary CHO-K1 cells with the gene encoding rat m1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor (mAChR) in the mammalian expression vector, pSVL. These cells were then co-transfected with pMSVNeo and selected for growth in selection medium containing 500µg/ml G418. The cells are reported to express 800 fmol of receptor/mg of membrane protein.

Quality Control
