Description
LIM1215 cell line is a human colorectal carcinoma cell line. It was derived from a biopsy of involved omentum, with the primary lesion found in the ascending colon. The patient, a 34 year old male, had a family history of colorectal carcinoma.
Adherent Suspension
LIM1215 is loosely adherent and grows in islands which may pile up.
Suggested Medium
RPMI 1640 (with 2mM L-Glutamine + 25mM HEPES) + 10% Foetal Calf Serum+ Insulin 0.6μg/ml, Hydrocortisone 1μg/ml, 1-Thioglycerol 10 μM.
Quality Control
LIM 1215 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
