Description
Derived from mononuclear cells from the peripheral blood of a 20 year old female. The patient has been diagnosed with Cockayne syndrome complementation group CSB. This multisystem sun-sensitive genetic disorder cell line is associated with a DNA-repair defect after UV irradiation. The cell line LB242 has been established by EBV transformation. Fibroblasts from the same individual are designated CS4BR.

Quality Control
LB242 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
