Description
Derived from mononuclear cells from peripheral blood of a 49 year old normal male. Cells were used as controls for cellular radiosensitivity studies and analysis of cell survival after UV-irradiation. The line LB173 has been established by subsequent transformation with EBV. Fibroblasts from the same individual have been designated 144BR.

Quality Control
LB173 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
