Description
Derived from a primary papillary thyroid carcinoma cell line GLAG-66 (Antonini et al 1993 PMID 8330267) (Ribeiro et al., 2008 PMID 19087340 Schweppe et al., 2008 PMID 18713817). Retains thyroid follicular cell differentiation e.g. thyroglobulin synthesis. Expresses wild-type p53 tumour suppresser gene.

Quality Control
K1 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
