Description
Originally derived from a human monocytic leukaemia. The cells support the growth of poliovirus I, adenovirus 3 and VSV (Indiana strain) This cell line was found to be indistinguishable from HeLa by STR PCR DNA profiling. Therefore, the cell line should be considered as derived from HeLa. Ethnicity Black.

Quality Control
JIII (HeLa derivative) Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
