Description
Human Thymic Epithelial Cells (HTyEpiC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from human thymus. HTyEpiC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. HTyEpiC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to cytokeratin-18 and -19. HTyEpiC are guaranteed to further culture under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics; however, HTyEpiC are not recommended for expanding or long-term cultures due to limited expansion capacity.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Thymic Epithelial Cell Medium for culturing HTyEpiC in vitro.
Quality Control
Human Thymic Epithelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
