Description
Human Iris Pigment Epithelial Cells (HIPEpiC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from human iris. HIPEpiC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. HIPEpiC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to cytokeratin-18. HIPEpiC are guaranteed to further expand for 10 population doublings under the condition provided by Glow Biologics.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Epithelial Cell Medium for culturing HIPEpiC in vitro.

Human Iris Pigment Epithelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
