Human Intestinal Microvascular Endothelial Cells (HIMEC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from human intestinal tissue. HIMEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. HIMEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CD31 (PECAM) and vWF/Factor VIII. HIMEC are guaranteed to further expand for 10 population doublings under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics

It is recommended to use Endothelial Cell Medium for culturing HIMEC in vitro.

Human Intestinal Microvascular Endothelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
