Description
Human Choroid Plexus Endothelial Cells (HCPEC) from Glow Biologics are isolated from human brain. HCPEC are cryopreserved at passage one and delivered frozen. HCPEC are characterized by immunofluorescence with antibodies specific to CD31 (PECAM) and vWF/Factor VIII. HCPEC are guaranteed to further culture under the conditions provided by Glow Biologics; however, HCPEC are not recommended for expanding or long-term cultures due to limited expansion capacity.
Suggested Medium
It is recommended to use Endothelial Cell Medium for culturing HCPEC in vitro.
Quality Control
Human Choroid Plexus Endothelial Cells are negative for HIV-1, HBV, HCV, mycoplasma, bacteria, yeast and fungi.
Storage
On receipt, immediately transfer the frozen cells to liquid nitrogen (-180 °C)
