Description
Derived from a 13 year old female caucasian. Cells are sensitive to both virus and chemical transformation and exhibit a flat morphology, low saturation density and low plating efficiency in soft agar. HOS and 143B originated from the same host 143B is TK- and originated indirectly from HOS which is TK+ (Skovgaard et al 2010 PMID 20544518).

Quality Control
HOS Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
