Description
H5 cell line is a subclone of H4-II-E-C3 which originated from the Reuber H-35 hepatoma induced by chemical carcinogenesis in an A x C rat. The dedifferentiated H5 cells express high levels of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase and exhibit a population doubling time of 12 hours. Differentiated variants are H4IIEC3 (85061112), Fao and others (see Biochimie 1974;561603 for details).
