Description
This cell line known as Epithelioma papulosum cyprini was originally reported to be from Carp epidermal herpes virus-induced hyperplastic lesions. More recently EPC was found to be derived from Fathead Minnow see Winton et al., 2010. This has been confirmed by DNA sequencing at Glow Biologics. The cells support the growth of pancreatic necrosis virus and rhabdovirus.

Quality Control
EPC Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.

EPC Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.

Store the cell lines in liquid nitrogen vapor (less than -130°C)
