Derived from the lung of an adult female Chinese hamster. Spindle shaped fibroblasts. Chromosome morphology following infection with adenovirus (Exp Cell Res 1964;34400) and HSV (Virology 1964;22439) has been studied.

Quality Control
DEDE Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
