Description
Used in RSV transformation studies. Demonstrates rapid thymidine kinase (TK) activity following induction of simian, adeno and papovavirus infections. Derived from a male adult African Green monkey kidney. Cells grow rapidly and form monolayers of fibroblast-like cells that support the growth of SV40. Chromosome number shifts have been observed at high passage levels.

Quality Control
CV-1 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.

CV-1 Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.
