Derived from CV-1 simian cells transformed by origin-defective mutant of SV40 which codes for wildtype T Ag. Possible host for propagation of pure populations of recombinant SV40 virus. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2.

Quality Control
COS-1 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.

COS-1 Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.

Store the cell lines in liquid nitrogen vapor (less than -130°C)
