Description
The cell line CLC (Carp Leukocyte Culture) was established from peripheral blood mononuclear cells of a normal 2 year old female common carp, Cyprinus carpio. They possess phagocytic activity and are reported to be stimulated by TNF, gamma-interferon and LPS therefore resembling characteristic features of monocytes / macrophages. CLC replicate fish viruses e.g. IPNV, PFR, SVCV and VHSV.

Quality Control
CLC Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
