Description
The cell line CL21 has been established by hybridisation of C57 BL mouse peritoneal macrophages with SV40 transformed human skin fibroblasts. The human cells were derived from a patient with Lesch-Nyhan syndrome and are deficient in hypoxanthine guanine phosphoribosyltransferase (HGPRT). They have been reported to contain the human chromosome 7 and could also contain subchromosomal fragments of chromosome 17.

Quality Control
CL 21 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
