Derived from skin tissue taken from an 8 year old male with asymptomatic galactosemia, despite lacking red cell galactose-1-phosphate uridyl transferase. Sibling of CHP 3 (M.W.) with the same enzyme deficiency that was symptomatic. Cultures will retain characteristics for at least 30 passages. Ethnicity Black.

Quality Control
CHP 4 (W.W.) Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
