Description
Derived from a patient with myelomonocytic leukaemia and subsequently exposed to Epstein Barr Virus (EBV). This line is EBV positive and therefore presumably derived from a normal B lymphocyte. This cell line cell line is also positive for surface Ig, Fc receptor, complement receptor, surface Ia and EBNA. Responds to T cell replacement factor by increasing the number of IgG secreting cells. The cells should be handled under laboratory containment level 2.

CESS Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
