Description
Established from a cervical carcinoma of a 41 year old Caucasian female. Cells form stratified, epithelial colonies and retain properties of squamous cell differentiation in long term culture. They are morphologically and cytogenetically distinct from C-4 II. Reported to contain human papilloma virus (Am. J. Pathol. 119361-366). Handle as potentially biohazardous material.

Quality Control
C-4I Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
