Subclone of parent line derived from 5 1-day-old unsexed hamster kidneys (Virology 1962;16147). Used extensively for virus replication studies i.e. poliovirus, rabies, foot and mouth disease, VSV (Indiana strain), herpes simplex, Ad25 and arboviruses.

Quality Control
BHK 21 (clone 13) Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
Shippment
BHK 21 (clone 13) Cell Line will be shipped using dry ice.
