Description
A9(Hamprecht) Cell Line is a 6-thioguanine resistant mutant of mouse L cell fibroblasts. A9 lacks guanylic acid-inosinic acid pyrophosphorylase and was isolated by virtue of resistance to 6-thioguanine. Glow Biologics has two catalogue entries for the A9 cell line which differ in that they were deposited by different groups A9 and A9(Hamprecht). Several other cell lines in the Glow Biologics catalogue have been derived from A9(Hamprecht).

Quality Control
A9(Hamprecht) Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
