Description
Hybrid generated by fusion of bromodeoxyuridine-resistant mutant of the rat glioma cell line C6 and the 6-thioguanine-resistant mouse L cell fibroblast line A9 using inactivated Sendai virus. Cells formed from such a fusion are multipolar and extend small processes.

DMEM + 2 mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) + HAT (0.1 mM hypoxanthine, 10 µM aminopterin and 16 µM thymidine) Cells can be cultured without HAT provided they were cultured in between in HT medium for 3-4 days
