Description
Hybrid generated by fusion of 6-thioguanine-resistant mutant of mouse neuroblastoma N4TG3 and 8-bromodeoxyuridine-resistant mutant of mouse L cell fibroblast line B82 using inactivated Sendai virus. The fusion of N4TG3 x B82 generated two types of hybrid cells neuronal resembling the neuroblastoma and epithelioid with clearly visible nucleus. 328/9 is of the neuronal type.

DMEM + 2 mM glutamine + 10% Foetal Bovine Serum (FBS) + HAT (0.1 mM hypoxanthine, 10 µM aminopterin and 16 µM thymidine) Cells can be cultured without HAT provided they were cultured in between in HT medium for 3-4 days.
Quality Control
328/9 Cell Line was tested and found to be free of mycoplasma, bacterial, viruses, and other toxins. All cells were above 95% viability before freezing.
